Who Won the Iowa Debate

Who won the Republican debate Sunday?

Ask Frank Luntz, the leading Republican pollster and political consultant, who gathered, along with Fox News, a group of 29 GOP voters from the Des Moines area to watch and respond to the debate. The answer was Gov. Mike Huckabee.

Huckabee is hitting it out of the park with these people,” Luntz said while measuring the reactions of the voters during the debate.

Before the debate started, nine of the 29 expected Mitt Romney to be the winner, eight were for Rudy Giuliani, five were for Fred Thompson, two were for John McCain, one for Huckabee, and the rest of the candidates were picked by none or one.

When the debate ended, 14 were for Huckabee, 10 for Romney, Giuliani had three, and one each for Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter.

Mike Huckabee resonates with voters. His popularity is surging. He is the man to lead America in 2008!

What do you make of the recent buzz about GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee?

1. Much ado about nothing;

2. A result of the lack of conservative candidates;

3. A promising boost to a potentially successful campaign; or

4. The beginning of Huckabee's rise to the White House

On my own blog today (August 27, 2007 at http://camp2008victorya.blogspot.com, I offer some good advice to Gov. Huckabee on how he can advance his standing in the race for the Republican nomination and the presidency. I'd love to hear your comments (and get your support for my suggestions). Thanks.

I came across you blog on mikehuckabee.com and saw it was for ministers.
I am a minister here in WV and I am pushing for Mr. Huckabee to everyone I meet.
My church people ask me for info and I try to feed it to them outside of the
pulpit. It is great to see a man with integrity, and believes in standing up for his
faith.  God Bless America

While he may be a good man and is on the right side of some issues, Mr. Huckabee is a populist, not a leader. We are electing a Commander in Chief not a pastor in chief. I personally have had enough of Arkansas politicians for a lifetime. He is terribly naive on foreign policy, as spotlighted by his recent article in Foreign Affairs, and gives good reason to think he would be reminiscent of the worst President in my lifetime, Jimmy Carter in all areas relating to foreign policy. He must not be our nominee.

I thought you might be interested in our new Huckabee video, "A Call to Texans." You can view the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhApGSuT2BY

Please post this on your blog and pass it on to all your friends in Texas!

Amy, a National Meet.up prayer leader has asked us all to pray for a $1 Million dollar total in donations by Tuesday morning. that means raising about $260,000 in 36 hours, or about $7, 200.00 per hour.

Please ask your family and friends to each donate $5.00 or more to the campaign to help us meet this goal.

Also, my challenge is still on:
I will call 10 phone numbers per $1.00 donation.

So far you have raised $1,650.00 in the last 60 hours or about $30.00 per hour. If everyone could raise this much we would have our goal complete by Tuesday.

Thanks. Ranger code R6441
